Happy #DapperMonday!! Its been a while gents! I have good news, today is the 1 year Anniversary of Wall Street Paper. I cannot even believe how many blog posts, instagram posts and trips that were related to this amazing blog. God is so good!!! He put this crazy idea to start a fashion blog in my head while I was an investment banker on Wall Street and now this passion as a menswear geek has turned into a full-time gig all thanks to the the readers (you guys). So this blog post is dedicated to you guys, thank you for being so loyal. Now "Another one" a blog post to start the new year off right!

This week’s focus, my trip to Florence, Italy for the famed trade show, Pitti Uomo. Man was this an amazing experience, I had to chance to rub elbows with my idols and to connect with instagram friends from places like South Africa, German, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Los Angeles, St. Louis and more. The trade show was full of the best menswear peacocks from around the globe. The WSP team was honored to be attending Pitti with Allen Edmonds. We shot a ton of content for them that will be released later. With that being said I have talked enough, please take a look at the outfits I wore to the show and some of the snaps of Florence and let me know if you have any questions. I would love to chat with you guys!

Happy #DapperMonday!! Finally have all the finished pictures from the rooftop trunk show I hosted with my personal tailor, Cesar Renuan.  It was a wonderful time with the finest suiting, accessories and of course great whiskey provided by the good folks over at Bulleit Whiskey.  I co-hosted the event with instagram social personality / influencer, Sam White.  For this event I thought that it would be wise to make a statement so I chose the sky blue suit with the oversized peak lapels for an Italian look. Sam went with the original game changing navy pinstripe suit.  We both want to thank everyone who came out to support and if you're in the market for custom suiting in the New York Metro area please do not hesitate to reach out to me!!

Happy #DapperTuesday!! As you may know already I am giving out Summer Tips every week and this week we are focusing on the wrist game "Look at da flicka da wrist" - please google if you do not catch it the first time :) One of my favorite watches at the moment has to be MVMNT watches which are great quality and you can wear in a formal or casual setting. I recently moved into a new place with an amazing 360 view of NYC so I thought to take in the view through a photoshoot. Summer Tip #6 - Step up your wrist game!

Now to add even more flavor you can get spice up your outfits with different color khaki blazers and pants, don't fret I will be showing how to do it right in a future post. Ok gents now its time to go out and show off that new khaki blazer!! Summer Tip #2 – Khaki is your best fried!

Let’s take a flight, but we’re not flying economy.... Today we’re flying business class with great style. Two highlights of this look have to be the elegant glen plaid trench coat from JackThreads and the wool plaid tie from Aristocrats bow n ties. While working in finance, I have seen it all when it comes to coats. I’ve seen the original black long coat, the tan trench coat, and regretfully, the oversized puffer / Antarctica parka - a real style killer at the office. When choosing a coat for work you have to make sure it’s not too much (i.e. red, 100% cashmere, royal blue, fur, or any other obnoxious color / material that brings unwanted attention). In fact, you want to exude a presence when you arrive at work or your final destination. I chose to work with subtle patterns and colors that really catch the eye and add character to the ensemble. When you throw in the wool plaid tie, it gives the outfit just the right pinch of texture. As I always mention, please do not over step your boundaries with patterns and textures. Less is more gents! I will leave you with this, when purchasing a winter coat: 1. It should not surpass the knees (this helps elongate your body and makes you look taller/more suave) 2. Do not be afraid to get a coat with patterns (it adds character and style the outfit underneath) 3. Choose a universal color (grey, blue, black or even dark green) so that you are able to wear the coat with multiple outfits and get your money's worth. Please let me know what coats you have recently purchased or if you have any burning questions about coats in the workplace.
