Watch

WSP x Movado by Brandon Bryant

Hey guys hope all is well. Super excited to show you all some of the new content that I am working on. Today’s post is all about the watch. A watch is a strong complement piece to your wardrobe and can tell a lot about your personality from afar. Today’s watch of choice is the Heritage Series Calendoplan Chronograph from Movado

Movado is a Swiss watch company that has a rich history that dates back over 100 plus years. It’s most notably known for its historic Museum dial that traces back to artists from the modern design movement in the early 1900’s.

Now onto the outfit. I decided to focus on a look that is perfect for the hottest days during the summer. In NYC during July and August the heat can be 90+ degrees, so thought it would be helpful to shed some light on how to look good in the heat. So the outfit is pretty simple; chambray shirt, swimming trunks (protip - always feel free to wear trunks as shorts!!), white sneakers and of course a staple time piece that can elevate the outfit.

My favorite features about this watch:

  1. Chronograph

  2. Keeps date, day and seconds

  3. Rose Gold casing

  4. Brown leather Strap

  5. Very versatile and compliments my wardrobe

  6. Watch face is just the right size (43 mm) for my wrist

Hey guys, hope you're doing well. Now that summer is over its time to focus on the most important fashion season of the year which is fall. Fall is the best time for layers, bold colors and a good time to play around with different fabrics.

For this blog post, I teamed up with Perry Ellis to be a part of their #100PiecesofPerry campaign. Just as I mentioned before the fall is a great time to mix and match fabrics, so I decided to mix a denim shirt with cotton chinos and layer on a twill knit jacket. Another great addition during the fall is the fedora, when in doubt always put on a hat. A hat instantly elevates your outfit and adds some confidence. To round out the fall inspired outfit I went with some new kicks I just picked up from Five Four and their new collection designed by Mark McNairy. Anyone who knows me can tell you that I am a sucker for suede shoes and these are my new favorites.

Well that's all for now, let me know if you would wear this outfit and what other fall style essentials I may have missed. Talk soon!!

Happy Friday everyone and hope you are gearing up for a long holiday weekend. I am excited to continue phase two of my partnership with I.W. Harper Whiskey.

In this phase we focused on summer style and how to be dressed and ready for any occasion. In outfit #1 I focused on one of the hardest looks to pull off for a younger gent. Its the dress shirt tucked into jeans look, usually used by older gents but it has really made a comeback with the younger guys. I think the correct way to approach the "tucked" look is by have the right fit on your garments. As long as the blazer, dress shirt and jeans are form fitting I think you are in the clear.

Now on to outfit #2, the sweater and blazer. Sometimes, as men we just want to feel free and comfy but at the same time feel stylish. I would suggest this look or even a nice plain t-shirt in light grey for the NYC summer heat. Notice in this look I decided to add sneakers to the mix, I am a huge champion of sneakers with blazers. Suits / blazers can be too serious as times, so throwing on a nice pair of statement sneaker like these ones from Freeman Plat are a perfect addition.

Well that is all for now, let me know what are your go to styles for this summer!

Happy Thursday! Finally back in the states after an amazing two week long Europe trip. Our last stop was the high fashion and industrial city of Milan. Many people have mentioned how Milan is different from most of Italy because its so modern and has a very NYC feel. I agree that Milan does feel that way, the modern design of the office buildings, houses and restaurants are exceptional and cannot be found in most places in Italy.

Now on to the juicy stuff, what did we do while in this beautiful city? Well, honestly we roamed everyday without a specific objective. The previous three cities (London, Paris, and Florence) had strict schedules, with Milan we wanted to relax and enjoy the architecture and the local delicacies. One of the best delicacies was the gelato, man there was a different gelato shop every single block. It was comparable to Starbucks in NYC. Food in Milan overall was pretty delicious. First night we went to this Sri Lankan restaurant called Serendib, make sure you stop by there if you are in town - they have an all you can eat menu that is to die for. The next night we had a chance to meet up with a fellow blogger, Blake Scott, and went to a very NYC like bar called Dry that had out of this world cocktails and brick oven pizza. On the last day we had a chance to get touristy and checked out the Duomo and took a few snaps.

I truly had such an amazing time traveling and meeting great people in each city. I would strongly suggest taking a trip to Europe or to even a neighboring city. Change up your routine and enjoy yourself a bit. Its healthy.

Hey everyone, hope your weekend is going well so far. Just finished up in Florence and was blessed to have the chance to attend Pitti Uomo 90 and peacock with best of the best from around the world in menswear. At the end of the day I was just happy to make it to Florence after some technical difficulties with travel and missed the first day of activities at Pitti. We made the best of our time in Florence and it was great to see old friends from around the world who feel like brothers to me.

Pitti is always a huge show with amazing suiting and the most popular faces in menswear. This was my first time attending the summer version of Pitti and it was boiling hot outside (about 85 degrees). With the weather this hot everyone was wearing linen and cotton blends. I chose to wear white pants which are a Pitti favorite and a sky blue peak lapel jacket. I tried to spice things up a bit with some driving moccasins from Cole HaanSurprisingly enough there were not too many over the top outfits with highlighter colors and people trying to grab all the attention. Most outfits were actually conservative and very simple. The color pallet was blues, browns, off white and greens.

P.S. Check out the squad goals from a recent snap on GQ with a few of the guys from Pitti and myself. Click here.

A few words on trends that I saw while at Pitti and my predictions for the next few seasons.

  1. White Pants: Not a huge must have in the U.S. yet but I would predict by fall 2017 most guys will be entertaining white pants every chance they get in warm weather
  2. Rings: Men are still getting comfortable with accessories and such. Some men still do not even wear watches. I  would predict rings to take a little bit longer to catch on but they will probably be important sometime by fall 2017
  3. Form Fitting Suits (not too tight): This is a tricky one, everyone now is worried about their suit being extremely tight and almost perfect. At Pitti I am seeing suits moving away from being extremely tight to being more form fitting and breathable. Still much slimmer than the old parachute suits worn by older business man.
