Hey everyone, hope your weekend is going well so far. Just finished up in Florence and was blessed to have the chance to attend Pitti Uomo 90 and peacock with best of the best from around the world in menswear. At the end of the day I was just happy to make it to Florence after some technical difficulties with travel and missed the first day of activities at Pitti. We made the best of our time in Florence and it was great to see old friends from around the world who feel like brothers to me.

Pitti is always a huge show with amazing suiting and the most popular faces in menswear. This was my first time attending the summer version of Pitti and it was boiling hot outside (about 85 degrees). With the weather this hot everyone was wearing linen and cotton blends. I chose to wear white pants which are a Pitti favorite and a sky blue peak lapel jacket. I tried to spice things up a bit with some driving moccasins from Cole HaanSurprisingly enough there were not too many over the top outfits with highlighter colors and people trying to grab all the attention. Most outfits were actually conservative and very simple. The color pallet was blues, browns, off white and greens.

P.S. Check out the squad goals from a recent snap on GQ with a few of the guys from Pitti and myself. Click here.

A few words on trends that I saw while at Pitti and my predictions for the next few seasons.

  1. White Pants: Not a huge must have in the U.S. yet but I would predict by fall 2017 most guys will be entertaining white pants every chance they get in warm weather
  2. Rings: Men are still getting comfortable with accessories and such. Some men still do not even wear watches. I  would predict rings to take a little bit longer to catch on but they will probably be important sometime by fall 2017
  3. Form Fitting Suits (not too tight): This is a tricky one, everyone now is worried about their suit being extremely tight and almost perfect. At Pitti I am seeing suits moving away from being extremely tight to being more form fitting and breathable. Still much slimmer than the old parachute suits worn by older business man.

Happy Humpday! Guys, its been a whirl wind this week. We had a tough time finding transportation from London to Paris. We tried to purchase train tickets from London to Paris for a 2-hour train ride and the price skyrocketed to around $250USD and we decided to take a 8hr+ bus ride from London to Paris. It was actually pretty neat to see the French countryside and we had a chance to meet people while we were on the bus. By the way, I know what your thinking, how did we take a bus to Paris if the only way is by water….. Well our bus drove for a few hours then the bus drove on a train and we went under water for a few minutes. So that was a cool highlight.

Anyways, while in Paris we were somewhat of tourist since none of us had been before and we did not have any strong contacts there. We went to The Louvre to see the Monna Lisa and did a photo shoot right outside. We also went to a few really cool cocktail bars like Experimental Cocktail Bar which reminded me of a NYC lounge in the lower eastside and we also went to another spot called Moonshiner which has a pizza shop in front of it and you have walk through a steel door that leads to an intimate speakeasy with a smoke room in the back.

Man, what a dream come true! Paris was so amazing, I wish I had more pictures to show!

Happy Sunday everyone!! I am writing this post from the other side of the pond right now in London! Having a bloody good time over hear. I have became something like a regular over here and have really started to rub elbows with creatives and common folk.

Day 1: We flew into London on a redeye and landed bright and early at 8am. First thing we had to do was go to the ATM to get some  cash (British Pounds) to survive and then we grabbed a oyster card  to use the tube for transportation, which is basically like a metro card for us New Yorkers. When then made the hour and a half journey from the airport in west London to  Shoreditch in east London which most people compare to Williamsburg back in NYC. We were a little jet lag and after a 5 hr nap we were ready to take on the day. We attended a London Fashion week presentation for the brand Ben Sherman and we had a chance to run into a friend I knew threw Instagram, Mr. Hat. He eventually turned into our tour guide for the trip and gave us inside tips to the lingo, places to go and what to expect from London.

Day 2: We had the chance to hang out in West London and went to go see Big Ben, then we strolled over to Convent Garden to eat at everyone's favorite Indian restaurant, Dishoom. By far the best Indian food I have had in a very long time, we actually tried to eat there on Day 1 but the wait was about an hour and 30 min. After changing and browsing shops and boutiques back near Shoreditch we headed back to our flat to get ready for the night time festivities. We met up with our tour guide Mr. Hat and started off with drinks at this place called Box Park, which is a cluster of pop-up boutiques from the best of London in fashion, food and culture. Afterwards we headed back to our flat to make some specialty cocktails in preparation for our first official night out and Mr. Hat took us to the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch which has an amazing club downstairs with the latest "Grime" rap music and we danced the night away with new friends.

Day 3: After a long night of dancing we had to have some brunch, so we went to have fish and chips at a pub in West London and met up with a family friend of the gents from Brothers and Craftwho happened to one of the singers for the amazing A capella group the Swingles. The Swingles actually travel around the world for more than half the year singing in places like Dubai and Denmark and open for the likes of Adele and Kelly Rowland. Safe to say brunch was amazing with fish and chips and great conversation. Then we went to Buckingham Palace to be a little touristy and snap some shops. Afterwards, we went back to Shoreditch to meet up with my new buddies (Pete and Jens) who I met on social media and they run this really cool Youtube page called Whats Good London. We both thought it would be cool to shoot a video for their Youtube page showing me around London and talking about fashion. So Pete and Jens showed us around London for a few hours, we ate at this amazing food market called Dinerama. Its comparable to Smorgasborg in Williamburg but inside of a market place with great music and TV's. After Dinerama, I gave the guys a gift, a few really good grooming products from Filmore Skin CareOur last stop of the day was this awesome undiscovered gem in East London called Discount Suit Company, which is an underground speakeasy type bar. If you guys are in London and have a chance to go here please grab my favorite drink called the "Conference Call". Well thats all for now, we are headed to Paris tomorrow on a 7.5 hour bus ride. I am sure to have plenty to write about that bus ride.

P.S. Jens from Whats Good Londonlost a bet with Pete and had to wear a fur coat all night with sunglasses as a joke (see the last picture) but it actually was a hit with everyone and he ended up getting more style compliments than me somehow. I guess I need to step my fur coat game up ha.

WSP x Miami by Brandon Bryant

Last week I packed my bags and ventured down to Miami for a quick getaway. Before I left, I told you what to pack, but now that I’m back, I absolutely must tell you what you can’t miss in the Sunshine State. Miami is famous for its music scene, but what you may not know is that it’s also home to an unbelievably impressive art culture.

While I was there, I had the chance to visit Wynwood, my favorite part of Miami. Wynwood is to Miami what Williamsburg is to the Brooklyn hipster crowd – young entrepreneurs and warehouse graffiti are in no short supply. As home to the Art Basel, the Wynwood Walls are a collection of commissioned and protected murals done by incredibly talented artists – you’ll even recognize some big names and famous paintings, above.

It’s easy to get lost in the constant EDM pool party that is Miami, but it’s just as easy to get lost in the amazing graffiti that is not only modernizing art, but also redefining art for the next generation. I tip my hat to the exceptional talent featured on the Wynwood Walls and invite you to tell me your favorite piece! C’mon over.
