Happy 2017! Over the past few years men have increasingly paid more attention to personal style and now its time to focus on personal grooming.

I teamed up with the good folks over at The Art of Shaving for the launch of their new fragrance collection. I decided to go with a modern gentleman vibe for this partnership. So I threw on a suit & tie and made sure to play a bit with the colors and patterns to bring out some character.

First, a little history on the brand. The Art of Shaving is a brand with lots of history, 20 years to be exact. As a leading men’s grooming brand they have a mission to help elevate the grooming experience for men from a chore to an enjoyable ritual. The brand initially started from a small shop here in Manhattan and has since grown to a robust collection of over 150 male-focused luxury retail shops across the country.

Now, lets talk about the fragrances. I had the chance to test drive five different scents and the two I enjoyed most were the Oud Suede and Green Lavender. The Oud Suede has a deep wood smell that I believe is good for a night out on the town or dinner with your significant other. The Green Lavender had an herbal tone to it and could be worn both day and night or for work and play.

Blogger Pro Tip: Feel free to blend scents together to get an elevated and unique scent. My suggestion is to blend the Green Lavender with Vetiver Citron. These two scents blend well, the sharp lavender and refreshing orange of the Green Lavender blend well with the smoky vetiver and sweet lemon of the Vetiver Citron.

Well now that you guys have had the chance to visually experience and hear more about the new fragrances be sure to go check them out for yourself (here)

Thank you as always for reading and let me know your thoughts on my outfit today and on the fragrances when you try them out.

Hey guys, hope you’re doing well. Excited to show an awesome partnership I just finished up with GQ and Hugo Boss. It was a cool intimate in-store event with GQ Stylist Brett Fahlgren and NY Giants Running Back Rashad Jennings.

The event had a small Q&A between Brett and Rashad who discussed fashion in sports and also Rashad's humble beginnings on the football field. Rashad had a very heart touching story of how he was able to get his first shot to play in a football game in high school. He was a 4th string running back at the time and his high school team was playing their arch rivals for the last game of the season. As the story goes on we find out that all three other running backs get injured and then the coach had no choice but to put Rashad into the game. His first play ended up being a 30 yard TD run. Before the game was over Rashad went on to score 2 TD's on offense and 2 TD's on defense for a total of 4 TD's. That was the start of his now illustrious football career.

After Q&A the event focused on the new mix and match suit separates Hugo Boss was releasing. If you take a look at a few of the pictures above you can see some of the new collection.

Well that’s all for now, let me know your thoughts. Talk soon!

Hey guys, hope you're doing well. Now that summer is over its time to focus on the most important fashion season of the year which is fall. Fall is the best time for layers, bold colors and a good time to play around with different fabrics.

For this blog post, I teamed up with Perry Ellis to be a part of their #100PiecesofPerry campaign. Just as I mentioned before the fall is a great time to mix and match fabrics, so I decided to mix a denim shirt with cotton chinos and layer on a twill knit jacket. Another great addition during the fall is the fedora, when in doubt always put on a hat. A hat instantly elevates your outfit and adds some confidence. To round out the fall inspired outfit I went with some new kicks I just picked up from Five Four and their new collection designed by Mark McNairy. Anyone who knows me can tell you that I am a sucker for suede shoes and these are my new favorites.

Well that's all for now, let me know if you would wear this outfit and what other fall style essentials I may have missed. Talk soon!!

Happy Friday everyone and hope you are gearing up for a long holiday weekend. I am excited to continue phase two of my partnership with I.W. Harper Whiskey.

In this phase we focused on summer style and how to be dressed and ready for any occasion. In outfit #1 I focused on one of the hardest looks to pull off for a younger gent. Its the dress shirt tucked into jeans look, usually used by older gents but it has really made a comeback with the younger guys. I think the correct way to approach the "tucked" look is by have the right fit on your garments. As long as the blazer, dress shirt and jeans are form fitting I think you are in the clear.

Now on to outfit #2, the sweater and blazer. Sometimes, as men we just want to feel free and comfy but at the same time feel stylish. I would suggest this look or even a nice plain t-shirt in light grey for the NYC summer heat. Notice in this look I decided to add sneakers to the mix, I am a huge champion of sneakers with blazers. Suits / blazers can be too serious as times, so throwing on a nice pair of statement sneaker like these ones from Freeman Plat are a perfect addition.

Well that is all for now, let me know what are your go to styles for this summer!

Happy Thursday! Finally back in the states after an amazing two week long Europe trip. Our last stop was the high fashion and industrial city of Milan. Many people have mentioned how Milan is different from most of Italy because its so modern and has a very NYC feel. I agree that Milan does feel that way, the modern design of the office buildings, houses and restaurants are exceptional and cannot be found in most places in Italy.

Now on to the juicy stuff, what did we do while in this beautiful city? Well, honestly we roamed everyday without a specific objective. The previous three cities (London, Paris, and Florence) had strict schedules, with Milan we wanted to relax and enjoy the architecture and the local delicacies. One of the best delicacies was the gelato, man there was a different gelato shop every single block. It was comparable to Starbucks in NYC. Food in Milan overall was pretty delicious. First night we went to this Sri Lankan restaurant called Serendib, make sure you stop by there if you are in town - they have an all you can eat menu that is to die for. The next night we had a chance to meet up with a fellow blogger, Blake Scott, and went to a very NYC like bar called Dry that had out of this world cocktails and brick oven pizza. On the last day we had a chance to get touristy and checked out the Duomo and took a few snaps.

I truly had such an amazing time traveling and meeting great people in each city. I would strongly suggest taking a trip to Europe or to even a neighboring city. Change up your routine and enjoy yourself a bit. Its healthy.
